Ocean LCL
1.44 W/M
Volume 1.440 m³ is compared with weight 0.300 t; the larger (1.44 W/M) is charged. 1 m³ is treated as 1,000 kg.
Most tariffs apply a minimum of 1 W/M.

300.0 kg
Volumetric weight: total cm³ ÷ 6,000 = 240.0 kg. Gross weight 300.0 kg. The larger is charged, rounded up to the next half kilo.
0.40 LDM
Of the trailer 3% · 0.40 / 13.6 LDM
LDM = length (m) × width (m) ÷ 2.40 m (trailer inner width), reduced by stacking. 13.6 LDM = full truck.
Road chargeable weight: 700 kg
The largest of: gross weight, LDM × 1,750 kg, volume × 333 kg.
Factors vary by carrier and tariff; you can enter the values from your quote.
Results are for information only. The LDM figure uses the simplified formula; actual layout, loading constraints and the carrier’s tariff can change the outcome.
W/M (weight or measure) means LCL ocean freight is charged on volume or weight, whichever is greater. 1 m³ is treated as 1,000 kg; a shipment of 3 m³ weighing 1,800 kg is charged as 3 W/M.
Volumetric weight is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 6,000 (often 5,000 for express and courier). The greater of volumetric and gross weight is charged, rounded up to the next half kilo.
LDM is the length of trailer floor the cargo occupies. It is the cargo’s floor area (length × width in metres) divided by the trailer width, usually 2.4 m. A standard curtainsider trailer is about 13.6 LDM.
A 120 × 80 cm Euro pallet is 1.2 × 0.8 ÷ 2.4 = 0.4 LDM. A standard trailer holds about 33–34 non-stackable Euro pallets.
