Import operations management
Get an import department that knows the job, without building one yourself. We follow production at your factories, plan your containers, negotiate the freight, check the documents and hand them to your customs broker complete. You always make the decisions; we handle the follow-up, the correspondence and the coordination.
What we offer
- Factory and production follow-up
- We regularly confirm production status, ready dates and changes with each factory, and tell you about delays before you have to ask.
- Container planning
- We calculate the load from carton, weight and volume data and suggest products to add or remove so no space goes to waste.
- Consolidation
- We combine cargo from several factories into one container or a part load and track every delivery to the warehouse.
- Freight research and negotiation
- We collect and negotiate quotes from several forwarders and put cost, transit time and terms side by side for you.
- Booking and loading coordination
- We book the quote you approve and organise communication between the factory and the forwarder through to loading day.
- Shipment tracking
- We follow vessel movements and estimated arrival, and report changes in good time.
- Customs document coordination
- We obtain invoices, packing lists and certificates of origin from the factories, check them against the order and shipment, follow up corrections and pass them to your customs broker.
- Payment terms and payment tracking
- We discuss payment terms with forwarders, check freight invoices against the approved quote and keep your payment calendar on track with reminders.
- Reporting and digital archive
- A weekly operations summary, monthly shipment cost and payment calendar, with every import document kept in an orderly archive.
- English meeting support
- We prepare for online meetings with your suppliers, interpret, and follow up on short meeting notes and action items.
- New suppliers and samples
- We make the first introduction to new factories you select and, if you wish, handle price collection, commercial negotiation and sample coordination.
Who it is for
- Companies importing regularly from China and the Far East and working with several factories
- Businesses without an import team, or whose team is stretched too thin
- Anyone who wants to hand over foreign-language correspondence and the time-zone gap
- Importers who want fuller containers and lower freight and delay costs
How it works commercially
- Fixed monthly fee
- The fee is set by the number of factories, your monthly containers and open orders. If your volume changes permanently, we review the scope together.
- You make the decisions
- Order quantity changes, freight and booking choices, extra costs and cancellations are always submitted for your approval.
- You pay suppliers directly
- You pay factories and forwarders yourself; we track due dates, amounts and agreement with the quote.
- Add-ons when you need them
- Extra meetings, new factory introductions, commercial follow-up and sample coordination are added only when needed and with your approval.
